Many cats get the same disorder of their ears which is called “Otitis Externa”. This disorder causes the external ear canal to be inflamed. It is typically caused by mites, which are very tiny annoying parasites that measure from 0.3 to 0.5 mm, and belong to the genus Otodectes family.

Not all cats will attract these types of disorders, even if they are being inhabited by mites and other parasites. The truth is that it depends on the health of your cat and how resistant he is to attacks. One of the great benefits of owning a cat is that they generally do not need any special grooming procedures done by the owner. Unlike dogs, cats will use their tongue to wash themselves. Cats do this self-cleaning several times every day to keep their fur shiny and dust-free. Grooming Short-haired Cats

One huge benefit of grooming a short-haired cat such as a Cornish Rex is that you can use a flea comb on their fur. Flea combs are brushes that have very narrowly placed teeth that scrape up those pesky little fleas while at the same time giving your cat’s fur a thorough brushing.
